7 CORE VALUES

Spreading Christlikeness worldwide.

The Christlike Disciplemakers' Movement is an equipping arm of the Body of Christ. We serve as a training, coaching, mobilizing, mentoring and sending centre for the church of God. The seven key areas outlined below are the heartbeat of CDM. They are at the core of our training sessions. They are the central aim of our Bible College. They are the pivot of our annual retreats and prayer festivals. Our leaders, Bible College teachers, and students all seek to be filled and saturated with this sevenfold passion. Here are the seven key areas we champion.

The Mission

With 2 Timothy 2:2 as our watchword, we believe that disciples are made by Christlike disciples, and are not just born. CDM members commit themselves to growing in Christlikeness and producing at least one Christlike disciple-maker yearly.

Our 7 Core Values
  1. CHRISTLIKENESS - CDM aims to be at the forefront of producing Christlike Christians. We recognize that all spiritual growth must end in becoming more like Christ. This is the heart of the Father (Rom. 8:29). The life that pleased God most was the life of Christ (Matt. 3:16,17; 17:5). Secondly, the major assignment of the Holy Spirit is to transform us into the likeness and glory of Christ (2 Cor. 3:18). Thirdly, when we see Jesus we shall be with him and like him forever (1 Jn. 3:2; 1 Thess. 4:16-18). The five-fold equipping ministries have this goal, and it was the passion of all Christian leadership in the scriptures (1 Cor. 11:1; 1 Pet. 2:21-23; Eph. 4:11-13; Col. 1:28). CDM therefore exists to model and reproduce Christlikeness worldwide.
  2. MAKING DISCIPLES WHO MAKE DISCIPLES - The second passion of CDM is making disciples who make disciples and plant churches. This was the Master’s command (Matt. 28:19,20). Disciples are made, not born. The master’s master strategy was prayerful selection and fierce concentration upon a few men who could become fishers of men and lead others. He poured himself into these men, delegated, supervised and empowered them (Matt. 4:19; Mk. 3:14,15; Acts 1:8; 4:13). Multiplication and reproduction must replace ordinary addition (2 Tim. 2:2). We believe that believers who are schooled in the foundations, growth and maturity in the Christian life are the most fruitful, stable and strategic people for expanding the work of the kingdom. CDM is committed to being at the forefront of best biblical practices in disciplemaking.
  3. FINISHING THE TASK OF WORLD EVANGELISM - The fourth passion of CDM is to finish the task of the Great Commission. Our Lord Jesus commanded us to preach the gospel to all creation and make disciples of those that respond to the good news (Mk. 16:15,16; Matt. 24:14; 28:19,20; Acts 17:30,31). God is not willing that any should perish (2 Pet. 3:9). The blood of Jesus covered the sin of all mankind (Jn. 1:29). Why should anyone hear the gospel twice when others have not heard it at least once? CDM believes that this task is doable, despite the 41% unreached people groups left. We believe that with Christlike disciplemaking, the work can be finished within one generation of 40 years. God is on our side because of the prophetic accomplishment in Rev. 7:9.
  4. GIFT DISCOVERY, DEVELOPMENT & USE - The aim of this is to fulfil God’s call. We believe that every person is God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand that we should walk in (Eph. 2:10; Jer. 1:5). We are committed to helping people discover their purpose and bring their uniqueness to benefit God and man. Spiritual gifts from God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit must be unearthed along with potentials, talents and endowments. All must be helped to achieve their highest and best in God (Prov. 22:29; 2 Tim. 1:6; 1 Tim. 4:14). We believe that there is a special and unique call of God upon each life that only our individual response can fulfil and through which we can find fulfilment.
  5. JESUS IN THE MARKETPLACE - The fifth passion of CDM is the priesthood of every believer in the workplace (1 Pet. 2:4,9; Rev. 1:6). Most of our working lives are not spent in church; they are spent at home, work, school, marketplace and in the neighbourhood. We can never be salt of the earth and light of the world if the average Christian is not trained to see himself/herself as Christ’s ambassador wherever God has placed him/her (Matt. 5:13-16; 2 Cor. 5:20). Our school/workplace must become our pulpit. Every resource, promotion and salary must be seen as God’s provision for fulfilling our ministry (Col. 4:17; Prov. 10:16). CDM is committed to teaching, training, coaching all our members for discipling, planting cells and churches in homes, schools, workplaces and neighbourhoods (Acts 8:1-4). We believe that effective tentmaking cross-cultural missionaries can only come from existing tentmaking church members.
  6. MINISTRY TO THE POOR & NEEDY - Our sixth passion in CDM is towards the poor and needy. We recognize that God heart is compassionate towards the less fortunate (Deut. 15:1-15). He intentionally chooses the weak, foolish and marginalized to shame the strong, wise and powerful (1 Cor. 1:25-28; Jas. 2:5). God is no respecter of persons (Rom. 2:11; Acts 10:33,34). We work towards equal respect of all races, nationalities, tribes and ethnic groups without any prejudice. We seek to lift up the cases of forgotten, unreached, untargeted people groups for attention. We advocate for godly social justice for all the minority and weak. We seek to be involved in compassion ministries towards prisoners, street children, prostitutes, drug addicts, widows, the sick and disabled, deaf and dumb, etc.
  7. PREPARING THE CHURCH FOR THE SECOND COMING - Our seventh and final passion in CDM is mobilizing the church for world evangelism and preparing her for the Second Coming of Jesus (Eph. 5:25-27). We see a largely backslidden, nominal and pew-warming worldly bride that is not ready to meet her King. CDM sees the church of God as the key to completing the task of world evangelism and the pastor as the key to turning her into a well-mobilized army. Our training sessions are geared towards waking up every church member to be conscious of a global responsibility to God (Acts 1:8). We seek to raise up apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for equipping the saints to be and do all Christ’s heart (Eph. 4:11-13). We dream of local churches where men, women, youth and children are consumed with world evangelisation and purifying themselves to meet Jesus at the rapture (1 Thess. 4:18).
